Pumpkins!!!

Well, the initial attempt at getting the "perfect" pumpkin patch picture was a failure. I had envisioned the girls in their matching dresses looking sweetly at the camera, maybe holding a pumpkin, or at least sitting by one. Maybe a shot of them lovingly looking at each other with the pumpkins in the background. And I thought that MAYBE, if all the stars aligned at just the right moment, it might be possible to get one of them both looking at the camera smiling. No such luck. I think I took about 90 pictures at the pumpkin patch last weekend. Not one of them turned out well. Here are just a few to show you what I mean.

I thought maybe if *I* sat with them they'd do better. Wrong.

Luckily, we went to a different pumpkin patch later in the week and had a much more successful photo shoot. Of course, it's all relative. It was much better than the first one, but not fantastic by any means!

We went with our weekly playgroup, so we got some pics of all the kiddos together, too. That was a feat for sure. Try to get a 3 year old, 2 2 year olds, a 7 month old and a 6 month old all to look at the camera at the same time. Not possible. But we got some fun pics out of it at least!

So I decided to push my luck and try a couple more of the girls right before we left.

I think I pushed them past their limit. What do you think?

Oh my goodness! The "bad" pictures are h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s! You should but the best of the worst in a frame!

Oh dear! You haven't given me much hope. It's tough enough to get a good picture on a soft couch; I'm dreading the dirt and itchy straw. We're going on Thursday...let's hope those stars get aligned soon! :o)
You're pics are great, though. Glad you're enjoying the new camera!

I love the one of Bethany smiling and Landry screaming. Isn't that the way it goes. We are taking Kylee this coming weekend. Thanks for sharing!

I just love all the candid shots - sometimes those are better and capture more "real life" than the perfect shots we are always waiting for.

Beautiful girls in their sweet little outfits - as always :-)

Great pics! I love all the "bad" ones! They totally crack me up! Such memories, though. I really like them in their yellow outfits. So cute!

You have a lot of friends named Shannon...at first I forgot that I had already commented...and then realized I hadn't!

We had about the same luck at the THREE different pumpkin patches we tried!! I've just decided it's about impossible. I'm dreading Christmas cards!!

In a way, though...the funny photos are much more entertaining! The last one is the best!! I actually have one just like that of Benjamin. Its all about keeping it real! Cute outfits on the girls!

You got a few good ones. But I sympathize. It's so hard with multiple children to get a good shot. I'm dreading getting my two taken for xmas pics...

The 3rd from the top cracks me up. Bethany's feet are propped up on the pumpkin, and she's rubbing her head like "Come on, Mom, I'm so bored."

Too funny! We took over 100 pics of the boys last year to get one semi decent shot for our christmas card. What would we do without digital cameras? I do think the ones you took of the girls wearing yellow turned out pretty cute!
